In her studio practice, Jennifer Anderson Printz gravitates towards labor- and time-intensive processes from intricate graphite drawings to making thousands of small delicate cuts in paper with an X-acto knive. The artist’s touch is extremely important to her as it creates an intrinsic presence within her work reflecting a fragility of memory and the phenomena of meaning. Her work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions across the United States and abroad and has been included in publications as diverse as Tricycle and The Carolina Quarterly. Her project have also included  massive mural for the Taubman Museum of Art titled Resolute Understanding of Fragile Things.

Mary Sherwood Brock was born in Washington, DC and attended the Boston Museum School and Tufts University graduating with a BFA in 1978. In 1990, she moved to Los Angeles and graduated with an MFA in painting from UCLA in 1992.She has been awarded two traveling scholarships, a Visual Artist Fellowship from the NEA, a Printmaking Fellowship and Painting award from the Artist Foundation of Massachusetts and UCLA Graduate award. She was a founding partner of the Artist Proof Cooperative Print Studio in Cambridge MA, which was honored for it’s contribution to the painterly print by the Boston Public Library in 2000 with an exhibition and catalog; “Proof in Print; a Community of Printmaking Studios”.She has exhibited her painting and prints in numerous international and national exhibitions focusing on printmaking since 1980. In recent years she has curated exhibitions researching the history of printmaking in Los Angeles. “Connections; LA Printmaking 1962-1973” at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery as part of the LA Printmaking Society’s 20th National in 2010 and brought together 34 significant works from artists who came to prominence in LA in the 1960’s. In 2013, “Leonard Edmondson” she curated and wrote the catalog for a retrospective of the paintings and prints of this influential teaching artist at CSUN Art Gallery. In 2014 at the LA Print Space “the press is my paintbrush” presented work from two master print shops, both artists in their own right; John Greco of Josephine Press and Francesco Siqueiros of El Nopal Press.She has taught printmaking at the Boston Museum School, Otis College of Art and Design and Loyola Marymount University and continues her research on the impact of printmaking as an art form for the LA Printmaking Society. studiosherwood.com
Born in Canton, Ohio; Lives and works in Los Angeles, CaliforniaLinda Lyke, a L.A. artist and Professor of Art at Occidental College, is known for her printmaking, multicolored abstract monotypes and mixed media work. Linda has shown in fifteen one-person exhibits and 80 national print and drawing exhibitions. Linda’s work explores two distinct artistic directions; one which investigates the intuitive process of abstraction and the other which references the destructive beauty in nature.
