My work spans a range of media from prints and book arts, to sculpture and public works. Two degrees in printmaking, over a decade of residencies in artist’s communities/National Parks, and a parallel career teaching art in Title I Public High Schools for over 20 years have nurtured a desire to make my work accessible to a broad range of people, and supportive of the communities that I am part of. By making multiples I am able to spread my own community around, while leaving pieces of Miami in the communities I travel to. I bring Miami wherever I go, and bring other artists home to my friends and colleagues.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Linda attended Pomona College in Claremont, Calfornia where she received her BA in studio art. She studied printmaking at Santa Monica City College as well as the UCLA Extension. As a member of a serigraph workshop in Pacific Palisades she produced limited edition silkscreen prints for several years. After moving to the San Francisco Bay Area she joined the Lafayette Printmaking Workshop where she started experimenting with water-soluble inks to create monotype/collage prints. Linda now works on her own etching press in her studio in San Ramon.
In her studio practice, Jennifer Anderson Printz gravitates towards labor- and time-intensive processes from intricate graphite drawings to making thousands of small delicate cuts in paper with an X-acto knive. The artist’s touch is extremely important to her as it creates an intrinsic presence within her work reflecting a fragility of memory and the phenomena of meaning. Her work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions across the United States and abroad and has been included in publications as diverse as Tricycle and The Carolina Quarterly. Her project have also included  massive mural for the Taubman Museum of Art titled Resolute Understanding of Fragile Things.
